Why does padme die

At the very least it means that what you're reading is in some way correct at least from a certain point of view. Yes in reality that would have been the cause of her death. Padme died of a broken heart. She lost her true love because Anakin went dark. Anakin went mad and then just lost it. What killed Padme was she had to face and except the truth that Anakin became Sith Lord and the all the goodness that was in him was gone until his son Luke Skywalker saved him from the dark side.

Some say she sacrificed herself for Anakin. But the theory of she died with a broken heart makes more sense. Legends isn't canon! There would be no news of it so suddenly; it had only happened seconds before he told the news to Anakin. She had to die—right then—or else Vader would never truly be committed to the Emperor.

Once this deciding piece of evidence is given away by the film, the rest of the details previously shown to you all fall into place. This is less of a theory than it is just a close watching of a film with many, many layers to uncover. So please, please! The film deserves better treatment than that, and you deserve to watch this classic one more time. Over the course of the past few weeks, RetroZap! While I posited that Darth Sidious used the dark side to steal away her Living Force and used it to breathe life into Darth Vader, there are nuances here that are worth taking a look at.

Namely, did Sidious actively take part in this? Or, was he more like an arcane scientist, who, after carefully setting up all the precise conditions of an experiment, presides over a reaction as it proceeds according to plan. This seems to fit the story to perfection. Insightful, right? Some form of this idea was submitted by many people.

And I think it is pretty valid. Palpatine seized a perfect moment to set up a situation where he can finally delve deeper into the dark side of Force and use Anakin to discover new secrets. As Anakin lies maimed on Mustafar, Palpatine sees opportunity. And he puts this fallen Jedi through an excruciating procedure devoid of any relief from bacta tanks or other pain-alleviating technology.

Pablo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm offered up a very interesting tidbit of information on the Rebel Force Radio Facebook page. After listening to it, what was uncovered was rather shocking:. Both of their heartbeats stopped roughly at the same time. The heartbeat stops for a moment, just too much of a moment to be considered natural. I have no doubts that this is a clear, yet subtle piece of information that elaborates upon just what horrific lengths were taken to bring Darth Vader to life.

After all you know about the Emperor, do you think he would give life freely? Any life he gives would be enthralled. The way those two scenes cut back and forth from one another really solidify that theory for me. By draining her life force and transferring it to Vader, Palpatine ensured that he would be able to achieve at least some level of serviceability from the apprentice that he devoted so much time and energy to gain.

Of course, none of that has ever been confirmed as of yet! Something far more tangible than just her losing the will to live presumably due to a broken heart. Something more befitting of the spirit of her character. What do you think? Agree or Disagree? Let us know in the comments below! What Star Wars Comics are new this week? More from Editorial. The least he could do was make it look so on paper.

I have always assumed that Anakin was an untrained but powerful user of the Dark Side of the Force, and he was very angry at Padme It's something he would never have consciously chosen to do. If I'm right, it is yet another way that the Dark Side messes up your life "forever will it dominate your destiny" as Yoda said.

Sadly, I think I have given this more thought than George Lucas did. Show 2 more comments. Robert Robert 3, 2 2 gold badges 28 28 silver badges 51 51 bronze badges. Although stress-related cardiac conditions are real, there would be a ton of other symptoms.

I'd have to reiterate what DVK said. Perhaps Organa's droid was unable to detect the other symptoms. I highly doubt, though, that a woman about to give birth wouldn't have high blood pressure, chest pain, or shortness of breath. So chances are, the droid was a horrible, horrible doctor who needs to have its medical license revoked Then again, we could always resort to 'blaming it on the midichlorians' — Robert.

I quite like the idea that her medical droid is just really rubbish. I actually like this answer. I like to believe that the droid is not referring to the medical conditions explaining why she died, but merely the fact that there are those conditions but we can't explain why they are happening.

Add a comment. The answer is clear: She has lost her will to live. Crazy Frog Crazy Frog k gold badges silver badges bronze badges. When Anakin was being seduced by the dark side her sickness began. As I've said on multiple occasions, while I accept that you can die of heart conditions related to stress, they're always accompanied by a veritable boat-load of symptoms that only an incompetent could miss; elevated blood pressure, unconsciousness, etc.

Also, the case you've quoted; Sam Londe is a textbook example of occam's razor. Is it more likely that he died of cancer and had a botched autopsy, one of dozens that occur each year or that he died of condition so rare that it's not been seen before or since? More power to you. Class dismissed: you obviously know what you need to know already - no need for school. Simply put, if you're not looking for it - you're going to be unable to find it. A single case that shows that a man can die of a purely psychosomatic condition is something that defies present medical understanding and hence would require more than a single example to provide proof that such a thing exists, especially when an the person in question already had a previously diagnosed terminal condition.
