However, the History of Trunks special shows him die by a punch to his stomach. Up to this point, the Earthlings are jovial and having a good time. Even after defeating his Saibaiman, Yamcha is caught by a sneak attack and killed on the spot. For Tenshinhan to be so outclassed by Nappa, even losing his arm in the process, helps the Saiyan arc settle on a hopeless tone until Goku finally arrives.
